Types of Oilless Bushing

Update:17 Mar
Described as “smooth motion without the need for lubrication,” Oilless Bushing is an essential component of various industrial machines and devices. It reduces friction and prevents noise and vibration from affecting the operation of equipment, while also reducing wear and tear.Several types of Oilless Bushing are available for a variety of applications. These include bronze bushings, graphite-filled plastic bushings, PTFE (Teflon) bushings, and steel bushings.
A Bronze Bushing:A bronze bushing consists of a bronze alloy base material with a graphite coating on top to increase friction reduction self-lubrication. This type of bushing is commonly used in automotive applications such as engine blocks & suspension linkages, as well as agricultural machinery such as construction equipment, pumps, and valves.
This type of bushing has excellent vibration-dampening properties and heat dissipation rates compared to other designs. It’s also available in a wide variety of sizes and shapes to meet the needs of a specific application.
These components can be constructed from a wide range of materials, and they are typically made using either sintered bronze or PTFE. This combination provides them with a low coefficient of friction, strong structural integrity, and resistance to abrasion, chemicals, and other harsh operating conditions. They’re also resistant to corrosion, making them ideal for a variety of environments. Moreover, they’re easy to install and operate, requiring little maintenance as compared to other bearing systems. In addition, they promote environmental sustainability because they require no lubricants and aren’t created from any oil-based components.
